Sehtak is the UAE-first healthcare operating system. Every line is production-grade, regulator-ready, and engineered for what no existing UAE health software does — connect clinics, pharmacies, diagnostics and patients under one unified record while complying out-of-the-box with all four health authorities (DHA, DOH, SHA, MOHAP) and the three HIE systems (NABIDH, Malaffi, Riayati) on day one.

Documentation kills doctors. We fix that.

UAE doctors lose 13.5 hours a week to documentation and 50% of clinical time goes to a screen instead of the patient. Sehtak's AI ambient scribe listens to the encounter, drafts a SOAP note in Arabic or English, suggests ICD-10-CM diagnoses and medications, and lets the doctor close the visit in one review-and-approve. The entire pipeline — Whisper large-v3 for transcription, Qwen 2.5 72B (AWQ) on vLLM for SOAP — runs on EC2 me-central-1 inside a private VPC. PHI never leaves UAE infrastructure.

Built for all four UAE health authorities

DHA (Dubai), DOH (Abu Dhabi), SHA (Sharjah), and MOHAP (Northern Emirates) are wired in from day one — not as a roadmap. Three HIE pipelines run live: NABIDH (HL7 v2.5.1, opt-out, Sheryan Facility ID required on every MSH-4), Malaffi (FHIR R4 over mandatory e& Enterprise SD-WAN, opt-in), and Riayati (HL7 + FHIR for the Northern Emirates, opt-in). Every pipeline is async via BullMQ — HIE never blocks a clinical encounter.

Insurance claims, on auto-pilot

DHPO eClaimLink (XML/SOAP) for Dubai and Shafafiya DOH (XML/SOAP) for Abu Dhabi auto-fire the moment an encounter completes. CPT, HCPCS, DDC (Dubai Drug Code, synced twice weekly) and ICD-10-CM are coded automatically, every Activity carries the doctor's DHA clinician code, eligibility is verified at check-in, and prior-authorisation flows hit the 6-hour, 24-hour and immediate SLAs. The 141-day adjudication window and resubmission limits are tracked in-platform.

UAE Pass, native

Patients log in via UAE Pass OIDC. SOP3 verification (full Emirates ID confirmation) gates any clinical-record access; SOP1 self-asserted accounts can only book. Reception screens display a UAE Pass QR for one-tap check-in. Trust is transferred from the clinic to the national identity platform — no more photocopying Emirates IDs.

Bilingual & WhatsApp-first

Arabic isn't a translation layer — every component was built RTL-first, then adapted for LTR. The UAE has 96% WhatsApp penetration and 70% of patients explicitly demand WhatsApp for booking and reminders. So WhatsApp is the primary channel: appointment confirmations, prescription notifications, refill reminders, payment links via Tap Payments — all delivered in WhatsApp first, with SMS and email as fallbacks.

Compliance is the architecture

PDPL (UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021) and ADHICS v2.0 shape every layer. Field-level AES-256-GCM on Emirates IDs, MFA secrets, and integration credentials. Append-only audit logs with no UPDATE or DELETE permissions granted to the app role. Pre-signed S3 URLs with five-minute expiry. 25-year clinical retention. Right-to-export endpoints for Subject Access Requests. Controlled drugs blocked from telehealth prescriptions per Federal Decree-Law No. 38 of 2024.
